Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
December 11, 2006

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., December 11, 2006, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on  December 11, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:


  1. Consider approval of minutes of December 4, 2006.   

  2. County Engineer.

  3. Personnel. 

  4. Recognize Precinct 1 Commissioner RICHARD CORTESE on his election to a two-year term on the 13-member Board of Directors of Texas Farm Bureau, the largest farm organization in Texas.    

  5. Consider approval of an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Temple allowing the City to use Bell County's election software and fiber optic network to process and maintain records regarding early voting in City of Temple elections.

  6. Consider donating a Bell County Lever Voting Machine to the Office of the Texas Secretary of State to be put on historic display in the State Capitol.

  7. Consider Order prohibiting the sale, use, detonating, ignition, or other use of fireworks classified under 49 C.F.R. part. 173.100 (r) (2) (10-1-86 edition), as "skyrockets with sticks" and "missiles with fins" in any portion of the unincorporated area of Bell County.

  8. Consider approval of Certificate of Appreciation for retiring County Court at Law Number 2 JUDGE JOHN BARINA, after 23 years of dedicated service, and designation of December 15, 2006 as JUDGE JOHN BARINA Day in Bell County, Texas.

  9. Claims.
