Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
January 16, 2007

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., January 16, 2007, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on  January 16, 2007, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

1. Consider approval of minutes of January 8, 2007.

2. County Engineer

1. Consider 2006 Annual Report for Road and Bridge Department.
   

2. Consider accepting Letter of Credit No. 586, in the amount of $10,000.00, from First State Bank Central Texas for improvements in Ranger's Promise Subdivision. 

3. Personnel.

4. Recognize and introduce Fancy H. Jezek of Temple who was appointed by Governor Rick Perry as judge of the 426th Judicial District Court serving Bell County.

5. Receive from Skanska Construction, USA a duplicate award statue representing the 2006 Excellence in Construction Award given to Skanska Construction and Wiginton Hooker Jeffry Architects by the Central Texas Chapter of Associated Builders & Contractors, Inc. for the Bell County Justice Center.

6. Receive update from Richard McGhee, Director of Central Texas Council of Governments Area Agency on Aging, on new initiatives and recently received awards and recognition, including the Johnson & Johnson/Rosalynn Carter Institute for Caregiving Grant.   

7. Consider approval of continuation of Interlocal Agreement with Hill County Transit District for use by the District of the former Bell County Precinct 4 Barn area in Killeen.  

8. Consider approval of Change Order #002 with Skanska Construction Company with no change in Guaranteed Maximum Price.

9. Consider approval of giving notice to Jamail Construction to proceed with preparation of drawings and specifications for the remodeling of the Road & Bridge personnel building.
