Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
March 26, 2007

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., March 26, 2007, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on  March 26, 2007, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:


  1. Consider approval of minutes of March 19, 2007.

  2. County Engineer


  3.  
    1. Conduct Public Hearing and consider approval of the following Traffic Control Devices:

      1.  Install 35 MPH speed limit on Stagecoach Road from Featherline to Trimmier Road;
      2.  Install YIELD signs at the two intersections of Woodland Point Loop at Woodland Point Road;
      3.  Install YIELD signs at the two intersections of Marigold Trail at Arrowhead Point Road.

    2. Consider releasing Letter of Credit No. 339, Union State Bank, in the amount of $3,750, for the Guaranty of improvements in Cedar Knob Estates.

  4. Personnel.

  5. Consider approval of the re-appointment of Doug Young, Administrative Officer to the Chief of Staff at the Olin E. Teague Veteran's Center, to the Aging Advisor Council of the Area Agency on Aging, for a three-year term, from January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2009.   

  6. Consider approval of Order Appointing Board Members to the Bell County Industrial Development Corporation, updating the appointments to be the current members of the Bell County Commissioners Court. 

  7. Consider approval of submission of grant request for Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funding for FY 2007-2008 to continue grant funding supporting Victim Witness Coordinators in the District Attorney's office.

  8. Receive report on U.S. Census Bureau population estimates as of July 1, 2006 showing Bell County at 257,897, a 8.37% increase from the 2000 population of 237,974 and putting Bell County as the 17th largest Texas County, up from 19th in 2000, by-passing Lubbock and Jefferson Counties.

  9. Receive presentation by County Treasurer Charles Jones of the Fiscal Year 2006 County Treasurer's Interest and Investment Report and consider approval of its receipt.

  10. Consider approval of Statement of Work Amendment with Enterpulse to manage and facilitate the Jail Pharmaceutical Request For Proposal (RFP) bidder selection and contracting process to secure provider and system capable of integrating with Bell County's existing Health Services System and Accounting System.

  11. Claims.
