Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
April 30, 2007
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., April 30,
2007,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on April 30, 2007, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

Consider approval of minutes of April 23, 2007.

County Engineer
-
Conduct Public Hearing and consider vacating a portion of
Landfill Road in the vicinity of F.M. 1123.

Personnel.
-
Recognition of Judy Morales and the Bell County HELP Center
for being awarded the Help and Hope Award for Collaboration by the Catholic
Charities of Central Texas, Diocese of Austin, for the partnership of the HELP
Center and Catholic Charities in assisting Hurricane Katrina and Rita evacuees
and in recognition of the HELP Center's staff and volunteers who demonstrated
true leadership and compassion in serving others. The award was one of
four presented in Austin on April 26, 2007.

Consider approval of a Resolution presented by the Area Agency
on Aging proclaiming May 2007 as Older Texans Month in Bell County.

Consider update and re-approval of form for Contract for
Election Services, the Schedule of Fees, and the contracting with other
entities to conduct elections and/or provide election equipment and services.

Receive update report from County Clerk Shelley Coston and
Election Clerk Jana Faucett about the consolidation of voting locations for
the May 12 Constitutional Amendment Election to five locations for both Early
Voting and Election Day Voting.

Consider approval of Statement of Work between Bell County and
FusionBridge Ltd. for support in reviewing, assessing, documenting, and
updating the processes and controls for Bell County Clerk Criminal Process.

Consider approval of two Tax Abatement Agreements with Jencer
Investments, Inc. for property located at 3918 Range Road for a distribution
center and for property located between 3918 Range Road and 3831 Lucius
McCelvey Drive for a computer service center in Temple, both located in the
City of Temple Tax Abatement Financing Reinvestment Zone (Enterprise Zone #3)
and both previously approved by the City of Temple on February 15, 2007.

Consider approval of Tax Abatement Agreement with Celedonio
and Adela Hernandez for approximately 2.061 acres of property located at 118
North 16th Street for use as an independent grocery store, located in the City
of Temple Tax Increment Financing Reinvestment Zone #12 and previously
approved by the City of Temple on March 15, 2007.
