Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
July 09, 2007

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., July 09, 2007, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on  July 09, 2007, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:


  1. Consider approval of minutes of June 25 and 28, 2007.

  2. Consider Proclamations honoring State Championships of:

    1. Troy High School girl's softball team, TROY TROJANETTES, 2007 Class 2A State Softball Champions.
    2. Rogers High School boy's baseball team, ROGERS EAGLES, 2007 Class 2A State Baseball Champions. 
       
  3. County Engineer.

    1. Consider authorizing the purchase of three motor graders off of the Buy Board and selling at auction three 2004 model motor graders.
    2. Consider accepting for maintenance Marigold Trail and Moss Rose Trail, Temple Park Estates, and accepting Letter of Credit No. 3597, Extraco Bank, in the amount of $4,178.35 for maintenance of these two roads.
       
  4. Personnel.

  5. Consider selection and award of proposals for employee health and dental insurance for FY 2008.

  6. Consider approval of Change Order #001 on Bell County Jail Addition Project with Skanska USA Building, Inc. with no change to Guaranteed Maximum Price. 

  7. Consider awarding bid for one Aerial Lift Platform for the Building and Grounds Department.  

  8. Consider report on Bell County Museum's receipt of $25,000 grant from the Carpenter Foundation for an exhibit on archeology and a report on the Museum's new exhibit, The Face of Texas:  Photographs by Michael O'Brien.

  9. Consider update on status of Bell County flooding damage and disaster assistance and consider continuation of disaster declaration.

  10. Claims.
