Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
August 13, 2007
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., August 13,
2007,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on August 13, 2007, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

Consider approval of minutes of August 06, 2007.

County Engineer.
- Consider Interlocal Agreement with the City of Troy for the seal coating
of various city streets; cleaning the ditches along a portion of Lower Troy
Road; and blading a portion of Turkey Road in the city limits.
- Consider Final Plat Approval for Eagle Oaks at the Lake, Phase II, a 19
Lot, 13.57 Acre Subdivision in the E.T.J. of the City of Temple.

Personnel.

Re-announce the date, time and place for the Presentation of
the FY 2008 Budget, for Public Hearings, and for Approval of the Budget and
Tax Rates.

Consider approval of Resolution adopting Hazard Mitigation
Plan and other matters.

Consider approval of Change Order #1 in the amount of
$8,687.72 with Jamail Construction for HVAC renovation of the Bell County
Extension Office at the North Annex in Belton.

Consider approval of renewal of contract between Bell County
and Central Texas Information and Referral/2-1-1 in which Bell County is
compensated for its costs in providing personnel to serve as a 2-1-1 operator.

Receive presentation by Park Ranger Murray McCarley on how the
dams at Lake Belton and Lake Stillhouse have handled the 2007 rains and flood
discharges and a depiction of what would have happened if the dams were not in
place.

Consider update on Bell County flooding damage and disaster
assistance status.
