Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
October 01, 2007

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., October 01, 2007, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on  October 01, 2007, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:


  1. Consider approval of minutes of September 17, 2007.

  2. County Engineer.

    1. Consider final plat approval for P & D Ranch, a two-lot, twenty acre subdivision off of Stallion Road in the E.T.J. of the City of Temple.
    2. Consider authorizing County Engineer to advertise for annual bids for aggregate, culverts, reinforcing steel and base.
    3. Consider authorizing County Engineer to perform needed repairs and maintenance to the Moffat Fire Department parking area.
    4. Consider releasing Letter of Credit No. 06-460, in the amount of $17,759.70, Central National Bank, Temple, for warranty of improvements in High Crest Subdivision, Phase I.
    5. Consider releasing Letter of Credit No. 1027, in the amount of $14,304.25, First Texas Bank, Belton, for warranty of improvements in the Woods at Cedar Oaks, Section 2.
    6. Consider authorizing county to advertise for bids for the purchase of a Motorized Broom, three-6 C.Y. Dump Trucks, two Half- Ton Pickups and two One-Ton Service Trucks. 
       
  3. Personnel.

  4. Recognize and honor Pct 4 Commissioner John Fisher for his selection as winner of the 2007 Excellence in Going the Extra Mile Award from County Progress Magazine presented at the 85th Annual County Judges and Commissioners Association of Texas Conference on September 27, 2007 in Galveston.  The award was in recognition of Commissioner Fisher's tireless efforts to assist the 3000 Hurricane Katrina Evacuees who found a temporary home in Bell County in 2005 following their evacuation from Louisiana and East Texas due to Hurricane Katrina.   

  5. Consider approval of Proclamation addressing Domestic Violence in Bell County.        

  6. Consider approval of Interlocal Agreement with Texas Association of Counties Risk Management Pool (TACRMP) to authorize participation in various types of Property and Casualty Insurance Coverage.

  7. Ratify and approve Frequency Reconfiguration Agreement between Bell County and Nextel of Texas, Inc., a wholly owned direct subsidiary of Sprint Nextel Corporation, a Kansas Corporation, regarding reconfiguration of the 800 MHz band to minimize harmful interference to public safety radio communications systems, in compliance with Federal Communications Commission report and order, in which Bell County is reimbursed its reconfiguration cost.

  8. Consider approval of amended Order of Election (Special Election) for the City of Temple for Bond Election on November 6, 2007.

  9. Consider approval of the appointment of Bennie Manis to the Bell County Child Welfare Board.

  10. Consider approval of Statement of Work with FusionBridge for Criminal Processes Update for Bell County Clerk's Office. 

  11. Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise for bids for vehicles for various county offices as approved in the 2008 budget. 

  12. Claims.
