Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
November 13, 2007
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., November 13,
2007,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on November 13, 2007, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

Consider approval of minutes of November 05, 2007.

County Engineer.
- Consider releasing the Letter of Guaranty, in the amount of $2,500, from
Central Bank, Temple, for warranty of improvements in Songbird Estates,
Precinct 1.
- Consider releasing surety for the road and drainage improvements in Terra
Bella, Phase II, a private road subdivision in Precinct 2.
- Consider approval of an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Little
River-Academy for the cleaning out of ditches along several roads in the City.

Personnel.

Receive report from Fire Marshall and consider approval of
Order Restricting Outdoor Burning.

Consider approval of Proclamation Honoring the Temple Daily
Telegram on its 100th Anniversary and proclaiming Sunday, November 18, 2007 as
"Temple Daily Telegram Day" in Bell County, Texas.

Consider approving awarding of Bid #36-07 to the next low
bidder, Derek Scott's Auto Park, for a full-size program sedan, due to
unavailability of the low bid vehicle because of its prior sale.

Consider exercising Option to extend for one year, at the same
terms, the contract for "The Transporting of Bodies for Autopsies" with Temple
Mortuary.

Consider approval of contracts with the Central Texas Council
of Governments (CTCOG), as Grantee, and Bell County, as Service Provider, in
aid of CJD Grant No. JA-06-J20-14340-09, titled Regional Purchase of Juvenile
Justice Alternatives.

Consider setting date for Public Hearing on the adoption of an
Order to continue to tax personal property in transit which would otherwise be
exempt pursuant to new Sec. 11.253 of the Texas Tax Code.
Bell County Commissioners Court
reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session
whenever permitted by the Texas Open
Meeting Act.
