Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
January 28, 2008
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., January 28,
2008,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on January 28, 2008, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

Consider approval of minutes of January 22, 2008.

County Engineer.
- Consider Final Plat approval for Woodland Ridge Estates, a 5-Lot, 23.878
Acre Subdivision in the E.T.J. of the City of Temple, off of F.M. 436.
- Consider approval of the Bell County Storm Water Management Plan for the
Unincorporated Urbanized Areas of the County and authorize the County Judge to
sign the Notice of Intent (NOI) for Storm Water Discharges from Small
Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4) under the TPDES Phase II MS4
General Permit (TXR040000).

Personnel.

Recognize the selection of County Judge Jon Burrows to
2008-2009 Policy Committee of the Conference of Urban Counties.

Consider approval of appointment of a Representative member
and a Technical Committee member to the Texas CUC Aggregation Project, Inc.,
d/b/a Public Power Pool relating to the aggregating of power to produce the
best power contracts at the lowest cost.

Consider approval of submission of grant request for Victims
of Crime Act (VOCA) funding for FY 2008-2009 to continue grant funding for
Victim Witness Coordinator and a legal assistant in the Victim Witness Unit of
the District Attorney's office.

Receive report from Fire Marshall and consider status of Order
Restricting Outdoor burning and consider continuation, modification,
extension, or termination of the Order and a finding that circumstances
present in all or part of the unincorporated area create a public safety
hazard that would be exacerbated by outdoor burning.

Consider approval of Change Order Number 2 with Jamail
Construction for exterior painting and office window replacements at the Road
& Bridge Personnel Building.

Consider approval of Statement of Work with FusionBridge, Ltd.
for District Clerk's office process assessment and recommendations.

Consider renewal of the agreement with Texas Fleet Fuel for
fuel purchases.

Consider approval of City of Belton Tax Abatement agreement
with B.H. Vaquero Constructions Company, Inc. approved by the City of Belton
on January 9, 2008
-
Claims.
Bell County Commissioners Court
reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session whenever permitted by the Texas Open
