Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
July 28, 2008
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., July 28,
2008,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on July 28, 2008, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

Consider approval of minutes of July 21, 2008.

County Engineer.
- Consider approval of an Interlocal Agreement with the Village of Salado
for the seal coating of two (2) miles of city streets.
- Consider approval of the Bell County Flood Damage Prevention Court Order,
Effective September 26, 2008.
- Consider authorizing County Engineer to advertise for bids for cold mix.
- Consider awarding bid No. 17-08, for liquid asphalt products, to all who
submitted bids on July 9, 2008.

Consider approval of Order of Appointment for Election Judges
and Alternates.

Consider approval of Change Order #008 with Skanska USA
Building, Inc. with no change in Guaranteed Maximum Price for Bell County
Jail Project.

Consider approval of Department of the Army License agreement
with Bell County giving permission for Bell County Vehicle Registration to
occupy approximately 1,163 square feet of administrative space in Building
69004 at Fort Hood, Texas to operate a vehicle registration office.

Consider approval of Order granting exemption under Section
262.024(a)(7)(A) of the Local Government Code from the competitive bidding
requirements for the purchase of Derby sealed seam correctional facility
mattresses, a patented item from Derby Industries, a sole source, and
approving the purchase of such items.

Bell County Commissioners Court
reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session whenever permitted by the Texas Open
Meeting Act.
