Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
September 15, 2008

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., September 15, 2008, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on  September 15, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
 

1. Consider approval of minutes of September 08, 2008.

2. County Engineer.

1. Report on any road & bridge damage caused by Hurricane Ike.
    

3. Personnel.

4. Receive report on cooperative Emergency Management response to Hurricane Ike and the evacuation of Brazoria County residents to Bell County.

5. Consider approval of the termination, modification, or continuation of the Order Restricting Outdoor Burning - Burn Ban.

6. Consider awarding bid for one full-size SUV for County Engineer.

7. Consider approval of CY 2009 Holiday Schedule.

8. Consider approval of 2009 Sheriff's and Constables' Fees.

9. Consider approval of submission of 2009 Indigent Defense Grant application.

10. Consider approval of Memorandum of Understanding with Lone Star Legal Aid for Lawyer-Magistrate Appointment for Juvenile Court Magistration services.

11. Consider approval of Memorandum of Understanding with Lone Star Legal Aid for Pro Se Assisted Program processing services.

12. Consider approval of Memorandum of Understanding with Lone Star Legal Aid for Protective Orders processing services. 

13. Claims.
    
            Bell County Commissioners Court reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session
            whenever permitted by the Texas Open Meeting Act.
