Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
December 08, 2008
Notice is hereby given that a
special meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:30 a.m., December 08,
2008,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on December 08, 2008, at 9:30
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

Consider a determination under Texas Local Government Code
Section 352.51, Subsection C, whether conditions on rural acreage not under
cultivation for a period of at least 12 months are extremely hazardous for
the danger of fire because of high grass or dry vegetation.

If a determination is made that conditions on rural acreage
are extremely hazardous, to consider Order prohibiting the sale, use,
detonating, ignition, or other use of fireworks classified under 49 C.F.R.
part 173.100(r)(2)(10-1-86 edition), as "skyrockets with sticks" and "missiles
with fins" in any portion of the unincorporated area of Bell County.
Bell County Commissioners Court
reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session
whenever permitted by the Texas Open
Meeting Act.
