Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
January 05, 2009

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., January 05, 2009, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on  January 05, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
 

  1. Consider approval of minutes of December 22, 2008 and January 02, 2009.

  2. County Engineer.

    1. Consider awarding bid for the purchase of a small motor grader and the sale/trade-in of a 1994 model Caterpillar 12-G motor grader.
       
  3. Personnel.

  4. Consider approval of the appointment and introduction of Lisa Cornelius, M.D., as the Health Authority for the Bell County Public Health District.

  5. Consider approval of the termination, modification, or continuation of the Order Restricting Outdoor Burning - Burn Ban, set to expire at 10:00 a.m. on January 26, 2009. 

  6. Consider approval of the purchase of 60 livestock panels for the EXPO Center in the amount of $28,912.00 from bingo proceeds by sole source pursuant to the discretionary exemptions in Section 262.024(a)(7) of the Local Government Code.

  7. Re-Announce Open House for new Jail Addition to be Saturday, January 17, 2009 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at the Jail site on Loop 121 in Belton.

  8. Claims.

            Bell County Commissioners Court reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session
            whenever permitted by the Texas Open Meeting Act.
