Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
February 17, 2009

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., February 17, 2009, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on  February 17, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
 

  1. Consider approval of minutes of February 09, 2009.

  2. County Engineer.

    1. Consider Public Hearing and consider approval of the following Traffic Control Devices:
      1.  Install a 40 MPH speed limit on Riggs Road.
      2.  Install a 40 MPH speed limit on Acres Spur.
      3.  Install a 45 MPH speed limit on Knob Creek from Riggs to Primrose Trail.
    2. Consider releasing Letter of Credit No. 619 First State Bank Central Texas, in the amount of $117,347.00 and replacing it with Letter of Credit No. 656, in the amount of $3000.00 for the one-year road maintenance for Woodland Ridge Estate Subdivision.
    3. Consider authorizing County Engineer's office to advertise for bids for the construction of 10,927 feet of right of way fencing on Post Oak Road, Precinct 2 and 1752 feet of right of way fencing on Horned Frog Road, Precinct 1.
       
  3. Personnel.

  4. Consider approval of the termination, modification, or continuation of the Order Restricting Outdoor Burning - Burn Ban, set to expire at 10:00 a.m. on February 23, 2009. 

  5. Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise for bids to purchase four Rooftop Air Handlers for the Juvenile Detention Center.

  6. Consider ratification of the emergency purchase, as allowed under Local Government Code Section 262.024, of a Rooftop Air Handler to replace a unit that ceased functioning at the Juvenile Detention Center.

  7. Claims.

            Bell County Commissioners Court reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session
            whenever permitted by the Texas Open Meeting Act.
