Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
April 27, 2009
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., April 27,
2009,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to
begin on April 27, 2009, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

Consider approval of minutes of April 20, 2009.

County Engineer.
- Conduct Public Hearing and consider approval of the following Traffic
Control Devices:
1. Install a 45 MPH speed limit 2500 feet south of Ivy Road to 2100
feet north of Ivy Road, on Willow Grove Road.
- Consider authorizing County Engineer to advertise for bids for the
annual purchase of Rip Rap Rock.
- Consider approval of Hot Mix prices.

Personnel.

Receive gift from McCreary, Veselka, Bragg & Allen, P.C. of a
framed article on Bell County featured in the April 2009 edition of County
Progress magazine.

Recognize Volunteers from annual Texas AgriLife Extension
Service Volunteer Dinner on April 23 at the Bell County EXPO Center.

Consider awarding bid on Multi-Use Building.

Consider approval of County Master Service Interlocal Contract
Between Harris County Department of Education (HCDE) & Bell County.

Consider approval of request by the City of Belton for Bell
County and Bell County Road District to waive taxes due (approximately
$8,908.62 to Bell County and $692.19 to Bell County Road District) on property
located at 1741 Taylors Valley Road in Belton, locally known as the Rockwall
Superfund site, and to deed Bell County and Bell County Road District
interests in the property to the City of Belton.

Receive report that Bell County's 2009 payment from Texas
Tobacco Settlement proceeds is $309,839.10.

considered, deliberated, and/or acted upon in a different order than set forth
above.
Bell County Commissioners Court
reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session whenever permitted by the Texas Open
Meeting Act.
