Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
May 04, 2009
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., May 04,
2009,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas,
to begin on May 04, 2009, at 9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

Consider approval of minutes of April 27, 2009.

County Engineer.
- Consider approving 2009-2010 Workplan for Road & Bridge Department.
- Under provisions of the contract, consider extending bid for striping by
D.I.J.
- Consider approval of the Replat of Presa Vista, Phase, in Precinct 2.
- Consider bids on crack seal materials.

Personnel.

Consider appointment of Lorin Evelyn Halstead of Belton to the
Bell County Child Welfare Board.

Consider appointment of George L. Luck of Temple as the Bell
County representative for the board of Central Counties MHMR.
-
Consider approval of Certificate of Appreciation to Bill
Holmes of Belton for his service as Bell County representative on the board of
the Tax Appraisal District of Bell County.

Consider appointment of Pat Patterson of Temple as Bell County
representative on the board of the Tax Appraisal District of Bell County.
-
Recognize HELP Center director Judy Morales and staff on the
selection of the Temple HELP Center as the "Agency of the Year" by the United
Way of Central Texas.

Receive report from Bell County Public Health District
Director Wayne Farrell on the status of the Swine Flu in Texas and suggested
precautions for the public.

Receive audit presentation and consider approval of the FY
2008 Annual Audit Report.

Recognize and announce presentation to the Bell County
Auditor's Office the Government Finance Officers Association Award for Bell
County's Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the Fiscal Year ended
September 30, 2007 - the 29th year in a row that the Auditor's Office has
received the award.

Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise for requests
for proposals for employee dental insurance.

Agenda items may be
considered, deliberated, and/or acted upon in a different order than set forth
above.
Bell County Commissioners Court
reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session whenever permitted by the Texas Open
Meeting Act.
