Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
May 26, 2009

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., May 26, 2009, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on May 26, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
 

  1. Consider approval of minutes of May 18, 2009.

  2. County Engineer.

  3. Personnel.

  4. Recognize Bell County Corrections Officer, Lt. Mary Farley, upon her installation as President of the Texas Jail Association, an organization of jail managers and practitioners and declaring May 26, 2009 as "Mary Farley Day in Bell County, Texas."

  5. Consider authorizing County Auditor to advertise for bids for tractor loader and shredder for the Bell County Building Maintenance Department.

  6. Consider results of County Auction held May 7, 2009.

  7. Consider approval to allow Bell County Youth Services to operate Hot Dog Stand on outdoor county property as designated by County Judge upon submission of appropriate licenses and proof of insurance.

  8. Consider authorizing County Judge to sign agreement/contract with Zapalac/Reed Construction Company for General Contract Services for a Bell County Multi-Use Facility to be located at 2405 S. Loop 121, Belton, Texas, Bell County, Texas.

  9. Consider authorizing Bell County HELP Center to apply for TXU program funds to help TXU customers reduce energy costs in homes.

  10. Consider approval of application by Families In Crisis, Inc. for Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing project grant from Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.

  11. Announce award by Oncor Electric Delivery to Bell County of $27,458.61 incentive check for energy efficiency in Government Facilities.

  12. Claims.

            Agenda items may be considered, deliberated, and/or acted upon in a different order than set forth above.


            Bell County Commissioners Court reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session
            whenever permitted by the Texas Open Meeting Act.
