Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
August 17, 2009

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., August 17, 2009, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on August 17, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
 

  1. Consider approval of minutes of August 10, 2009.

  2. County Engineer.

    1. Consider approval of the Final Plat of The Springs at the Escarpment Subdivision, located in the E.T.J. of the City of Harker Heights.
       
  3. Personnel.

  4. Re-announce dates/locations of

    1. August 24, 2009 in Commissioners Courtroom for
      1.  Presentation of the FY 2010 Budget
      2.  Public Hearing on the FY 2010 Budget
    2. August 31, 2009 in Commissioners Courtroom for
      1.  Approval of the FY 2010 Budget
      2.  Approval of the FY 2010 Tax Rates for Bell County and Bell County Road District
       
  5.  Consider ratification of the appointments of Ann King of Milam County and Sue Faulkner of Lampasas County by their respective counties to the Board of Trustees for Central Counties MHMR Center for two-year terms.

  6. Consider status of Order Restricting Outdoor Burning.

  7. Consider approval of Interlocal Agreement between Bell County and Hill Country Community Action Association, Inc. (HCCA) for Bell County to provide Case Management, Energy Assistance, Weatherization, Intakes, and Outreach and Referral Services for HCCA Programs in Bell County.

  8. Consider approval of Energy Efficiency Assistance Agreement between TXU Energy Retail Company, LLC, and Bell County, through its Bell County Human Services/H.E.L.P. Centers for coordination of the TXU Energy Low Income Energy Efficiency Program.

  9. Consider approval and ratification, effective August 11, 2009, of Resolution approving submission of grant application and administrative details for the Bell County Drug Court Program to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division.

  10. Consider approval and ratification of purchase of vehicle for the Sheriff's Office off of Buy Board and budget amendment.

  11. Consider approval of Tax Abatement Agreement with Stoney Brook of Belton, approved by the City of Belton on May 26, 2009, located in Belton Tax Abatement Reinvestment Zone #10, and recommended for Bell County approval by the City of Belton.

  12. Consider approval of Tax Abatement Agreement with McLane Advanced Technologies, LLC, and McLane Group, LP, approved by the City of Temple on July 16, 2009, located in Temple Tax Abatement Reinvestment Zone #10, and recommended for Bell County approval by the City of Temple.

  13. Claims.

            Agenda items may be considered, deliberated, and/or acted upon in a different order than set forth above.


            Bell County Commissioners Court reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session
            whenever permitted by the Texas Open Meeting Act.
