Notice of the Meeting of
the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
March 01, 2010
Notice is hereby given that a
regular meeting of the
above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., March 01,
2010,
with the
meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the
Bell
County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas,
to begin on March 01, 2010, at
9:00
a.m.
and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance
with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas. The
following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:

Consider approval of minutes of February 22, 2010.

County Engineer.
- Consider approval of the 2010 Annual Seal Coat Program and the 2010 Work
Plan Program.
- Receive report on Snow Day activity.
-
Personnel.
- Re-Announce Voting locations and hours for the March 2, 2010 General
Election:
a. Election Day Voting (Tuesday, March 2, 2010) - 7:00 a.m.
to 7:00 p.m. at the voter’s precinct polling location.
- Consider Annual Report of the Bell County Historical Commission.
- Consider approval of a Resolution Promoting the Use of Monopoles for
Electric Service in Bell County and the CTCOG Region.
- Consider approval of final Change Order Number 004 between Bell County
and the Zapalac/Reed Construction Company for miscellaneous additions and
reductions at the Bell County Multi-Use Facility, resulting in a $10,633.00
increase in the Contract Sum.
- Consider approval of Certificate of Substantial Completion with Zapalac/Reed
Construction Company on the Bell County Multi-Use Facility.
- Consider approval of Change Order between Bell County and Corporate
Facilities Management Services, LLC, for additional 220v service and
replacement of a failed AC compressor at the Bell County Communications
Center, resulting in a $2,300.57 increase in the Contract Sum.
- Consider approving and authorizing County Judge to sign Standard Form of
Agreements Between Owner and Construction Manager - where the Construction
Manager is also the Contractor and the General Conditions of the Contract
for Construction for the interior renovations, upgrades, and repairs to the
Historic County Courthouse and Agreements to include Guaranteed Maximum
Pricing for Site Package and Project General Conditions with G. Creek
Construction, Inc., setting Guaranteed Maximum Price at $271,535.30, and
issuing "Notice to Proceed" and authorizing the signing of the corresponding
Amendment 1 to the contract.
- Consider approval of an Order determining that the area of Bell County
previously designated as Precinct 6 was approved for the legal sale of beer
by the County-wide election held on October 5, 1957.

considered, deliberated, and/or acted upon in a different order than set forth
above.
Bell County Commissioners Court
reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session whenever permitted by the Texas Open
Meeting Act.
