Notice of the Meeting of the Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, for
May 10, 2010

Notice is hereby given that a regular meeting of the above named Court will be held at 9:00 a.m., May 10, 2010, with the meeting to be held in the COMMISSIONERS' COURTROOM, at the Bell County Courthouse 101 Central Avenue, Belton, Texas, to begin on May 10, 2010, at 9:00 a.m. and continue thereafter until such business of the Court has been completed in accordance with Article 81.005 of the Local Government Code of the State of Texas.  The following items of business will be discussed, to-wit:
 

1. Consider approval of minutes of May 3, 2010.

2. County Engineer.

   1. Consider awarding bids for:
      
      1.  2000 gallon water truck
      2.  Utility tractors with cabs
      3.  Zero turning lawnmowers
      4.  Dump trucks 5-6 yards
       
   2. Consider awarding bid for culvert pipes. 
       

3. Personnel.

4. Announce Annual Police Memorial Day Ceremony for Friday, May 14, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. on the North lawn of the Historic Bell County Courthouse Square. 

5. Consider approval of Proclamation designating the week of May 9th to May 15th, 2010 to be National Police Week in Bell County and for May 15th to be Peace Officers Memorial Day in Bell County. 

6. Announce Bell County's receipt of a 2009 Gold Star Safety Award from the Texas Association of Counties for its record of excellence in involvement and commitment to safety in the workplace, as well as for controlling workers' compensation  claims, with Bell County being one of only nine counties in Texas to receive the 2009 Gold Star Award, and recognize the Bell County Safety Committee for its efforts in making Bell County a safe place to work.

7. Claims.
   
           Agenda items may be considered, deliberated, and/or acted upon in a different order than set forth above.
   
   
           Bell County Commissioners Court reserves the right to discuss any items in executive (closed) session
           whenever permitted by the Texas Open Meeting Act.
