Agenda #2a - Setting date for Abandonment of a portion of Wells
Lane
- MINUTE ORDER #271/00: The County Engineer presented the
matter of the request of Mr. Mike Cornett to abandon a portion of Wells Lane. He
reported that Mr. Cornett, at his own expense had paved the portion of road that is to
remain open and has worked with the landowners along this road to gain their acceptance of
such closure. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
STEPHENSON, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved a public hearing for October 10, 2000, at nine a.m. for the
purpose of taking action on such request to abandon/vacate such road.
- Agenda #2b - Advertise for bids for Fencing a portion of Crows Ranch Road
- MINUTE ORDER #272/00: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
STEPHENSON, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the
Court unanimously approved the advertising for bids for fencing of a portion of Crows
Ranch Road.
- Agenda #2c - Interlocal Agreement with City of Nolanville
- MINUTE ORDER #273/00: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the
Court unanimously approved an Interlocal Agreement with the city of Nolanville for the
seal coating of approximately two miles of City Streets.
- Agenda #2d - Old 95 Bid for Culvert
- MINUTE ORDER #274/00: The County Engineer report to
the Court that he had received bids from two vendors but that the specifications were not
properly drawn and rather than accept the bids he would prefer that both bids be rejected
and that the specifications be drawn properly and resubmitted for bids. After due
discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER
STEPHENSON, the Court unanimously approved such action.

- MINUTE ORDER #275/00: Upon the recommendation of the
County Engineer, on motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved the awarding of the bid for hot mix
overlay of various County Roads to Odell Geer Construction in the amount of $64,077.00.

- MINUTES ORDER #276/00: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
STEPHENSON, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached
hereto and made a part of these minutes.

- MINUTE ORDER #277/00: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
STEPHENSON, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved the installation of new telephone lines in the Jail
Lieutenant's Office and the County Attorney's Office.
- Agenda #4 - Auditor's Budget
- MINUTE ORDER #278/00: The County Auditor presented the
matter of her budget for FY 2000-2001 and the Orders with reference to the District Court
Official Court Reporters' salaries for FY 2000-2001. After due discussion, the Court
unanimously approved the attaching of such orders to the minutes of the Court. All
according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these minutes for all
purposes.
- Agenda #5 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #279/00:The County Auditor presented all claims for
the review of the Court. After proper review, by consensus, the Court approved all
such claims. All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of
the County Auditor.
