AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on
this the 18th day of September, 2000, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas,
met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular special session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
MINUTE ORDER #280/00: It being nine a.m., JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the
fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of August 28, and
September 11, 2000. He asked if there were any corrections of additions
to the minutes; there being none, the minutes were approved as submitted.
Agenda #2a - Public Hearing on Installation of Signs
- MINUTE ORDER #281/00: JUDGE BURROWS opened
the public hearing with respect to the installation of traffic control devices. He
asked if there was any public comment and there being none the public hearing was closed.
After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, seconded
by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously approved the
installation of a yield sign at the intersection of Acres Road at Acres Spur, for
south-bound traffic on Acres Road and the installation of a 30 mph speed limit on the
following roads in Tumbleweed Subdivision; Wyatt Earp Loop, Billy the Kid Drive, Doc
Holliday Drive, and Jesse James Drive.

- MINUTE ORDER #282/00: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached
hereto and made a part of these minutes.
- Agenda #3 - Burn Ban
- MINUTE ORDER #283/00: The County Fire Marshal appeared
before the Court to give a report with respect to the dry conditions of Bell County.
After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON,
seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved
extending the County's burn ban thirty days from September 24, 2000. All according
to a copy of such burn ban attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
- Agenda #4 - Amendment to Tax Abatement Agreement - City of Belton - TEGE Corp
- MINUTE ORDER #284/00: The matter of an amendment to the
City of Belton's Tax Abatement Agreement with TEGE Corporation was discussed and after due
discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER
STEPHENSON, the Court unanimously approved such amendment agreement, the
same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
- Agenda #5 - Central Texas Housing Finance Corporation's Report
- MINUTE ORDER #285/00: Mr. Mark O'Brien of Morgan Keegan
& Company gave a report of the 1999 Single Family Bond Program of the Central Texas
Housing Finance Corporation.
- Agenda #6 - Claims
- MINUTES ORDER #286/00: The County Auditor presented all
claims for the review of the Court. After proper review, by consensus, the Court
approved all such claims. All according to a copy of the same being of record in the
office of the County Auditor.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
