Agenda #1 - Minutes
MINUTE ORDER #315/00: It being nine a.m., JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the
fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of October 2, 2000.
He asked if there were any corrections of additions to the minutes; there being none, the
minutes were approved as submitted. Presentation of the minutes of October 10, 2000
were waived at the present time.
Agenda #2 - Public Hearing on Traffic Control Devices
- MINUTE ORDER #316/00: JUDGE BURROWS,
opened a public hearing for certain traffic control devices and there being no public
comment the hearing was closed.
- Agenda #2a - Bids for Crows Ranch Fencing
- MINUTE ORDER #317/00: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, upon
the recommendation of the County Engineer, the contract for fencing for Crows Ranch Road
ws awarded to Larry Pajestka of Bartlett.
- Agenda #2b - Fencing Bids for Vilas Road
- MINUTE ORDER #318/00: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously authorized the County Engineer to advertise for bids for fencing on the Vilas
Road.
- Agenda #2c - Advertise for Bids for Road Equipment
- MINUTE ORDER #319/00: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the
Court unanimously approved authorizing the County Engineer to advertise for bids for two
shredder tractors and a used vibratory, padfoot compactor, such payment to be made from
precinct funds and bridge fund.

- MINUTE ORDER #320/00: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached
hereto and made a part of these minutes.
- Agenda #3 - Burn Ban
- MINUTE ORDER #321/00: No action was required on the burn
ban because the same is still in effect.
- Agenda #5 - 2001 Holidays
- MINUTE ORDER #322/00: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved the 2001 holidays for County Offices. All according to a
copy of the same attached hereto.
- Agenda #4 - BellNet Report
- MINUTE ORDER #323/00: Various representatives of BellNET
gave an annual report of their actions. There was an informational briefing on the
new Texas Institute for Educational Partnerships and what it has accomplished; and a
discussion concerning what BellNet and the Texas Institute for Educational Partnership can
accomplish together educational services to the Juvenile Detention Center Residents.
- Agenda #6 - Budget Amendments
- MINUTE ORDER #324/00: County Auditor, Donna Eakin,
presented the final amendments to the FY 99-00 budget. After due discussion, up
motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such amendments. All
according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
- Agenda #7 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #325/00: The County Auditor presented all
claims for the review of the Court. After proper review, by consensus, the Court
approved all such claims. All according to a copy of the same being of record in the
office of the County Auditor.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
