IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF

FEBRUARY 12, 2001


AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 12th day of February, 2001, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular special session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #46/01:  It being nine a.m., JUDGE BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of January 29, 2001 and February 5, 2001.  He asked if there were any corrections of additions to the minutes; upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the minutes of January 29, 2001 were approved as amended and the minutes of February 5, 2001 were approved as submitted.



  2. Agenda #2a - Crescent Mesa Subdivision

    • MINUTE ORDER #47/01:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved the preliminary plat of Crescent Mesa Subdivision.



  3. Agenda #2b - Amended plat for Brenda Lane Extension Subdivision

    • MINUTE ORDER #48/01:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously approved the final amended plat for Brenda Lane Extension subject to the developer posting his performance bond and the rerecording of his amended dedicatory documents.



  4. Agenda #2c - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #49/01:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.



  5. Agenda #3 - Certificate of Appreciation

    • MINUTE ORDER #50/01:  The Court Accepted a Certificate of Appreciation given to them by the Texas A & M V.G. Young Institute of County Government for their presentation on the Bell County Communications Center at the 43rd Annual County Judges and Commissioners' continuing Education Conference.



  6. Agenda #4 - Certificate of Appreciation to Commissioner Cortese

    • MINUTE ORDER #51/01:  JUDGE BURROWS presented COMMISSIONER CORTESE with an Award of Exemplary Service given by the V.G. Young Institute of County Government for service as Chair of the Commissioners Education Committee and support in planning, developing, and conducting the Continuing Education Programs of the Institute.



  7.   Agenda#5 - Brazos G Regional Water Planning Area Regional Water Plan

    • MINUTE ORDER #52/01:  JUDGE BURROWS announced that the Brazos G. Regional Water Planning Area Regional Water Plan is now onfile in the Bell County Clerk's Office for public availability.



  8. Agenda #6 - Election Judge and Clerk School

    • MINUTE ORDER #53/01:  County Clerk Vada Sutton discussed with the Court her plans to hold a county-wide election school for the purpose of obtaining additional individuals to work in the County's Election.  She asked for the permission of the Court to use the Bell Expo Center for such school.  Upon motion of JUDGE BURROWS, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously authorized such action.



  9. Agenda #7 - Claims
    • MINUTE ORDER #54/01:  The County Auditor presented all claims for the review of the Court.  After proper review, by consensus, the Court approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.



         (The Court then went into workshop session in the Conference Room for the Judge and Commissioners
         and discussed the updating of Bell County's Subdivision Plan and Facility Planning and the prioritization
         of the same.)

        There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
