AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on
this the 26th day of February, 2001, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas,
met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular special session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
MINUTE ORDER #69/01: It being nine a.m., JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the fact
that they had previously received copies of the minutes of February 26, 2001. He
asked if there were any corrections of additions to the minutes; there being none, the
minutes were approved as submitted.
Agenda #2a - Abandonment of Easement - Cliff Estates
- MINUTE ORDER #70/01: County Engineer Macchi
presented the matter of the abandonment of a drainage/utility easement running along the
common property line of Lots 12 & 13 Tanglewood II, a replacement of Cliff Estates
Unit II and a portion of the replat of Cliff Estates. He explained that one
landowner (Note to Richard Macchi - Since I will need to record this in the deed
records can you give me the name of the Landowner so that I can index it properly?)
desires to build a house in the middle of the combined lots. After due discussion,
upon motion of COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER
STEPHENSON, the Court unanimously approved the abandonment of such easement.
All according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these
minutes.
- Agenda #2b - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #71/01: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
STEPHENSON, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, all
employee status report forms were unanimously approved, all according to a copy of the
same attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
- Agenda #3 - Public Hearing Announcement
- MINUTE ORDER #72/01: JUDGE BURROWS announced
that there would be two public meetings, one on February 26 at 7 p.m. in the Commissioners
Courtroom and one March 1, at 7 p.m. in the Killeen City Hall regarding teh County's
Thoroughfare Plan.
- Agenda #4 - Bid Awarding - Uniforms for Building and Grounds
- MINUTE ORDER #73/01: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN,
seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously awarded
the bid for uniforms for the Building and Grounds Department to Unifirst in the amount of
$8,629.92 yearly.
- Agenda #5 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #74/01: The County Auditor presented all claims for the
review of the Court. After proper review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the
Court unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a copy of the same
being of record in the office of the County Auditor. (The Court then went into a
workshop session in the Conference Room to discuss the following items, to-wit: 1)
Redistricting and Citizens Advisory Committee; 2) Facilities Planning and
prioritization; 3) Upgrading the computer accounting software.)
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
