MINUTE ORDER #138/01: It being nine a.m., JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and waived presentation of the minutes of
April 9 and 16, 2001, at the present time.
Agenda #2a - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #139/01: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and
made a part of these minutes.
- Agenda #3 - 4-H Club Member Recognization
- MINUTE ORDER #140/01: JUDGE BURROWS recognized
members of the 4-H Clubs in attendance at Commissioners Court and those members
"shadowing" members of the Commissioners Court.
- Agenda #4 - County Government Week Resolution
- MINUTE ORDER #141/01: JUDGE BURROWS presented
a resolution in support of County Government Week. After due discussion, upon motion
of JUDGE BURROWS, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER,
the Court unanimously approved such resolution. All according to a copy of such
resolution attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
- Agenda #6, #7, & #8 - Certificates of Appreciation
- MINUTE ORDER #142/01: JUDGE BURROWS, presented
Certificates of Appreciation to the following individuals on behalf of the Commissioners
Court, to-wit: Recognize the Designation of April 26, 2001 as Ilene Miller Day in
Bell County in honor of her Retirement. Mrs. Miller is the Home Demonstration Agent
for Bell County. Recognized Truett Tomlinson's retirement as Telephone Consultant
for Bell County; Recognized Stephanie Turnham, Bell County Museum Director, for her
selection by the Texas Historical Commission as winner of the Glenda Morgan Award of
Excellence in Museums.
- Agenda #5 - Foot-and-Mouth Report
- MINUTE ORDER #143/01: Mr. Joel Hall, Field
Veterinarian of the Texas Animal Health Commission, discussed their work concerning
Foot-and-Mouth Disease and briefed the Court on the necessary things needed by their
Department in case of an out-break of Foot-and-Mouth Disease.
- Agenda #9 - Telephone Line Request
- MINUTE ORDER #144/01: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved the installation of a fax telephone line in the Treasurer/County
Clerk Office in Killeen.
- Agenda #10 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #128/01: The County Auditor presented all claims for the
review of the Court. Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded
by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such
claims. All according to a copy of the same on record in the office of the County
Auditor.
There
being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
