met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular special session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
MINUTE ORDER #446/01: It being nine
a.m., JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts
attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes
of December 17, 2001. He asked if there were any
corrections or additions to the minutes; there being none, the minutes
were approved as submitted.
Agenda #2a - Plat of Shaw Valley Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #447/01: The County Engineer presented
the matter of a preliminary Plat of Shaw Valley Subdivision. Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the
Court unanimously approved such preliminary plat and ordered the same
filed for record.
Agenda #2b - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #448/01: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the
Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same
being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #3 - Sick Leave Pool Report
- MINUTE ORDER #440/01: Mr. Ron Heuss, Director of
Human Resources presented the Court the report concerning the sick leave
pool participation. The same being attached hereto.
Agenda #4 - Senate Bill #7 Implementation
- MINUTE ORDER #450/01: JUDGE BURROWS presented
the matter of the implementation of Senate Bill #7 and after due
discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN seconded by, COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved the following items for the implementation of
SB #7, to-wit: 1) Approved personnel position; 2) Authorized
purchase of furniture, computer, telephone, fax, internet, e-mail;
3) Forms and documents and approved a budget amendment to cover such
costs.
- Agenda #5 - Request of City of Rogers
- MINUTE ORDER #451/01: The Court discussed the
request of the City of Rogers for Bell County to request the annexation to
the City of Rogers of the right of way of FM #437 so that the City could
annex City property along FM #437. Such request being made of the
County due to the Legislature not being in session, under new case law can
act for the State with respect to roads. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the Court unanimously
authorized JUDGE BURROWS to make such request to the City of
Rogers.
- Agenda #6 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #452/01: The County Auditor presented
all claims for the review of the Court. After proper review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a copy of the
same on record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then
went into Workshop session with no
action being taken on any item on such
workshop
agenda.)
There being no further business, the meeting
was adjourned.
