this the 7th day of January, 2002, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas,
met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular special session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
MINUTE ORDER #001/02: It being nine
a.m., COMMISSIONER CORTESE called the meeting to order and
waived presentation of the minutes of December 26, 2001, at the
present time.
Agenda #2a - Hankus Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #002/02: The County Engineer presented
the matter of the final plat of the Hankus Subdivision and after due
discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, the
Court unanimously approved such subdivision and ordered the same filed for
record.
Agenda #2c - Drainage and Utility Easement in
Tanglewood Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #003/02: The County Engineer presented
the matter of the Abandonment and Release of a Drainage and Utility
Easement situated between Lots 572 and #573, Tanglewood Subdivision and
recommended its release. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the
Court unanimously approved the abandonment and release of such
easement. All according to a copy of such utility letters, etc.
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #2b - Preliminary Plat for Walnut Creek
Estates, Phase 3, Section 2, Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #004/02: The County Engineer presented
the matter of approval of the preliminary plat for the Walnut Creek
Estates, Phase 3, Section 2, Subdivision and after due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
STEPHENSON, seconded by, COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court
unanimously approved such preliminary plat for the aforementioned
subdivision.
Agenda #2d - Workshop concerning HB 1445
- MINUTE ORDER #005/02: COMMISSIONER CORTESE reported
to the Court that the Court may participate in a workshop on HB1445 (ETJ
on subdivision) on Wednesday, January 9, 2002, at 9 a.m. in the
Commissioners Conference Room.
- Agenda #2e - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #006/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
STEPHENSON, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously approved
all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made
a part of these minutes.
- Agenda #3 - Resolution for Joint Primary Election for March 12, 2002
- MINUTE ORDER #007/02: County Clerk Sutton presented
the matter of a resolution authorized by Article 172.126 of the Texas
Election Code to authorize joint primary elections for both Democratic and
Republican Primaries for March 12, 2002 and after due discussion, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, seconded by COMMISSIONER
BROWN, the Court unanimously approved such Resolution. All
according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these
minutes.
- Agenda #4 - Bell County's Director Appointment to the Appraisal
Board of Directors
- MINUTE ORDER #008/02: COMMISSIONER CORTESE presented
the matter of the reappointment of BRENT WHITIS as Bell
County's representative to the Bell County Appraisal Board of Directors
and after due discussion, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, the Court unanimously approved such reappointment and
authorized the notification to the Appraisal Board of Directors of Mr.
Whitis' reappointment.
- Agenda #5 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #009/02: The County Auditor presented
all claims for the review of the Court. After proper review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the Court
unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a copy of the
same on record in the office of the County Auditor.
There being no further business, the meeting
was adjourned.
