IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF

BELL COUNTY, TEXAS

FEBRUARY 25, 2002


AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 25th day of February, 2002, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular special session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #065/02:  It being nine a.m., JUDGE BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of February 11 and 19, 2002.  He asked if there were any corrections or additions to the minutes; there being none, the minutes were approved as submitted.  



  2. Agenda #2a - Material Bids for Road and Bridge Department

    • MINUTE ORDER #066/02:  The County Engineer presented his recommendations for the awarding of contracts for the annual purchase of concrete, hot mix, cold mix, liquid asphalt,  pit-run gravel and aggregate.  After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved the awarding of the aforementioned bids as recommended by the County Engineer.  All according to a copy of such recommendations attached hereto and made a part of these minutes for all purposes.     



  3. Agenda #2b - Happy Acres Subdivision

    • MINUTE ORDER #067/02:  The County Engineer presented the matter of the final plat of Happy Acres Subdivision.  After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously approved the final plat of Happy Acres Subdivision and ordered the same filed for record.



  4. Agenda #2c - Northcliffe Phase VII

    • MINUTE ORDER #068/02:  The County Engineer presented the matter of the final plat of Northcliffe Phase VII and recommended its approval.  After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER,  the Court unanimously approved the final plat of Northcliffe Phase VII subdivision and ordered the same filed for record.
          



  5. Agenda #2d - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #069/02:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER,  the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.          



  6. Agenda #3 - Interlocal Agreement Concerning Housing Inmates for Williamson County

    • MINUTE ORDER #070/02:  Sheriff Smith appeared before the Court to discuss authorizing the County Judge to execute an Interlocal Agreement with Williamson County for the housing of their inmates at a cost per day of $40.00.  After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously authorized the County Judge to execute, on behalf of Bell County, an interlocal agreement with Williamson County for the housing of their inmates in the Bell County Jail at a cost of $40.00 per day, per inmate.     



  7. Agenda #4 - County Treasurer's Annual Report of Interest Earned

                
    • MINUTE ORDER #071/02:    County Treasurer, Charles Jones, presented to the Court his annual report of interest earned by Bell County for fiscal year 2001.  A copy of the same being of record in the County Clerk's Office.           

         

       
         
  8. Agenda #5 - Claims

                
    • MINUTE ORDER #072/02:  The County Auditor presented all claims for the review of the Court.  After proper review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the Office of the County Auditor.          

         
      (
      The Court then met in workshop session to discuss only those items listed on their workshop agenda. )
       
         


                   
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
