AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 4th day of March, 2002, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular special session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #073/02:  It being nine a.m., JUDGE BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of February 25, 2002.  He asked if there were any corrections or additions; there being no corrections, the minutes were approved as submitted.  



  2. Agenda #2a - Release of Letter of Credit

    • MINUTE ORDER #074/02:  The matter of the releasing of the letter of credit #995 of the First State Bank of Texas, for the roads constructed in Ridgewood of Salado, a private subdivision off of FM 2484 was discussed and after due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved the releasing of the $35,140.00 letter of credit for the above subdivision since the roads therein are private roads.    



  3. Agenda #2b - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #075/02:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes. 



  4. Agenda #3 - Awarding Contract for Auction Services

    • MINUTE ORDER #076/02:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON,  the Court unanimously approved awarding the Auction Services contract to Associated Auctioneers (John Fisher and Eddy Lange). 
          



  5. Agenda #4 - Right of Way Costs for Kegley Road

    • MINUTE ORDER #077/02:  The County Engineer presented the matter of right of way costs for the building of and widening of Kegley Road in the City Limits of Temple.  He reported that there would be approximately 41 tracts of right of way to acquire at a cost of $552,840.00.  After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN,  the Court unanimously approved assisting the City of Temple in the purchasing of the right of way on Kegley Road. 



  6. Agenda #6 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #078/02:  The County Auditor presented all claims for the review of the Court.  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same on record in the Office of the County Auditor.          
       
         

      (The Court then went into workshop session and discussed the matters on their agenda, previously posted.)


                   
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
