IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF

BELL COUNTY, TEXAS

APRIL  15, 2002


AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 15th day of April, 2002, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular special session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #127/02:  It being nine a.m., JUDGE BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of April 1 & 8, 2002.  He asked if there were any corrections or additions to the minutes; there being none, the minutes were approved as submitted.   



  2. Agenda #2a - Abandonment of Utility Easement in Wood of Salado Subdivision

    • MINUTE ORDER #128/02:  The County Engineer presented the matter of the abandonment of a Utility Easement between Lots 44-a and 44-b, in Block 1, the Woods of Salado Subdivision.  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously approved such request.  All according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.       



  3. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #129/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.   



  4. Agenda #4 - ETJ Interlocal Agreement with Salado

    • MINUTE ORDER #130/02:  The Engineer presented the matter of an agreement with Salado concerning approval of subdivisions in the ETJ of Salado.  The Engineer recommended the approval of such agreement subject to Salado's acceptance of Bell County Standards.  After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE,  the Court unanimously approved such agreement.   
          



  5. Agenda #5 - TNRCC Permit Approval

    • MINUTE ORDER #131/02:  COMMISSIONER CORTESE spoke with regard to a request for approval of the expansion of a dairy operation on the Leon River.  Mr. Billy Carberry and Mr. Robert Fleming also spoke with regard to the matter.  All three speakers spoke for the dairy operation reporting the fact that the operator of the facility had never received any sort of penalty for his operation.  After due discussion, the Court agreed to take no action on the matter. 
          



  6. Agenda #6 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #132/02:  The County Auditor presented all claims for the review of the Court.  After proper review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.     


                    (The Court then went into workshop session with all members aforementioned 
                     present and discussed those items on their workshop agenda with no action being
                     taken on any item.)


                   
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
