AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 28th day of August, 2002, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular special session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Public Hearing on Tax Increase

    • MINUTE ORDER #328/02:  It being nine a.m., JUDGE BURROWS called the meeting to order and opened the public hearing on the proposal to increase the total tax revenues for Bell County from properties  on the tax roll in the preceding year by 5.3851% and to hold a public hearing on a proposal to increase the total tax revenues of the Bell County Road District from properties on the tax roll in the preceding year by 5.5556%.  He asked if there were any public comments; there being none the public hearing was closed.  



  2. Agenda #2 - Date, Time, and Place for Voting on Tax Rate

    • MINUTE ORDER #329/02:   Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved setting September 5, 2002, at nine a.m. in the Bell County Commissioners Courtroom, Belton, Texas, as the date, time, and place for the setting of 2002 tax rate for Bell County and for the Bell County Road District.     

                    There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
