met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular special session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #360/02: It being nine a.m., JUDGE BURROWS
called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the
fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of September
3, 5, and 9, 2002. He asked if there were any corrections or
additions, there being no corrections, the minutes were approved as
submitted.
Agenda #2a - Bids on Fence
- MINUTE ORDER #361/02: The County Engineer
presented the matter of awarding bids on fencing on Romberg Road. He
reported that the low bid of L & R Fencing in the amount of $15,833.75
was the low bid. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the Court
unanimously approved the awarding of the fencing bid to L & R Fencing
(Larry Pajestka) in the amount of $15,833.75 with such amount to be
adjusted for the addition of four gates.
Agenda #2b - Sheperd's Glen Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #362/02: (Commissioner Brown recused
himself due to a conflict) Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, the Court unanimously approved Sheperd's Glen
Subdivision subject to receiving of a new letter of credit in the amount
of $2,000.00 that will expire until September 2003.
Agenda #2c - Crossland Estates Subdivision
Preliminary Plat
- MINUTE ORDER #363/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the Court unanimously approved
the preliminary plat of Crossland Estates Subdivision.
Agenda #2d - Annual Bids for Road and Bridge
Department
- MINUTE ORDER #364/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously
authorized the advertising for bids for culverts, base, reinforcing steel,
oil and grease, and uniforms.
Agenda #2e - McLean's Crossing Phase II Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #365/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the Court unanimously approved
the final plat of McLean's Crossing Phase II Subdivision and ordered the
same file for record.
Agenda #2f - McLean's Crossing Phase III Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #366/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously approved
the final plat of the McLean's Crossing Phase III Subdivision and ordered
the same filed for record.
Agenda #2g - Dos Hermanas Addition Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #367/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the Court unanimously approved
the final plat of the Dos Hermanas Subdivision and ordered the same filed
for record.
Agenda #2h - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #368/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously approved
all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made
a part of these minutes.
Agenda #3 - Agreement between Expo Center and
Hockey South, LLC
- MINUTE ORDER #369/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the
Court unanimously authorized JUDGE BURROWS to execute the
ratification/approval of the agreement between the Expo Center and Hockey
South, LLC subject to his being satisfied with such agreement. All
according to a copy
of the same attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Sheriff and Constable Fees and other
Fees
- MINUTE ORDER #370/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved the 2003 fees, Sheriff and Constable Fees, all
according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these
minutes. Further, the County Clerk reported that Record Management
and Preservation Fees will be raised in the County Clerk's Office.
All according to such report attached hereto.
Agenda #5 - National Hispanic Heritage Month
- MINUTE ORDER #371/02: JUDGE BURROWS
presented a proclamation setting September 15 through October 15, 2002 as
National Hispanic Heritage Month in Bell County. After due
discussion, upon motion of JUDGE BURROWS, and seconded by
all members of the Court, the Court unanimously approved such
proclamation. All according to a copy of the same being attached
hereto.
Agenda #6 - Czech Heritage Month
- MINUTE ORDER #372/02: JUDGE BURROWS presented
a proclamation declaring the month of October as Czech Heritage
Month. After due discussion, on motion of COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, seconded by all members of the Court, the Court unanimously approved
a proclamation declaring the month of October as Czech Heritage
Month. All according to a copy of such proclamation attached hereto
and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #7 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #373/02: The County Auditor presented
all claims for the review of the Court. Upon
motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a copy of the
same being on record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session
and discussed
those items on the workshop agenda with
no action taken on any
item.)
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
