IN THE COMMISSIONERS COURT OF

BELL COUNTY, TEXAS

NOVEMBER  18, 2002


AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 18th day of November, A.D. 2002, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular special session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #442/02:  It being nine a.m., JUDGE BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of November 12, 2002.  He asked if there were any corrections or additions to the minutes; there being none, the minutes were approved as submitted. 



  2. Agenda #2a - Public Hearing on Sunhill Settlements

    • MINUTE ORDER #443/02:   The Engineer presented the matter of the vacation of the roads in Sunhill Settlements (Christopher Drive, Sunhill Drive and Sunhill Court) was discussed and after due discussion, JUDGE BURROWS opened a public hearing for the purpose of allowing anyone present to make comment on such matter.  The Engineer reported to the Court that the County had never maintained the roads since they were deeded to the County.  JUDGE BURROWS asked if there were any public comments; there being none, the public hearing was closed.  After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the Court unanimously approved vacating the aforementioned roads and authorizing the County Judge to execute a deed back to Far-Tex, Inc. on behalf of Bell County.        



  3. Agenda #2b - Fencing on Franklin Road

    • MINUTE ORDER #444/02:  The Engineer presented the matter of awarding the bid for fencing on the Franklin Road project.  He stated that the low bidder, P & C Construction had obtained his Workers Compensation Insurance as required by the bid and therefore he recommended the awarding of such contract to them.  After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved awarding such fencing contract to P & C Construction in the amount of $4002.29..     
          



  4. Agenda #2c - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #445/02:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes. 
          



  5. Agenda #3 & #4 - Appointment to Brazos Region G Group and Population Discussion

    • MINUTE ORDER #446/02:  JUDGE BURROWS reported to the Court that he had been appointed to the Brazos Region G Water Planning Group and discussed with the Court the difference in the population projections of Perryman's and the Texas Water Development Board population projections. 
          



  6. Agenda #6 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #447/02:  The County Auditor presented all claims for the review of the Court.  After proper review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.    


             (The Court then went into Workshop session and discussed those matters on the workshop agenda 
              with no action being taken on any matter.)  


              There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
