Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #483/02: It being nine a.m., JUDGE BURROWS
called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the
fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of December
16, 2002. He asked if there were any corrections or additions to
the minutes;
there being none, the minutes were approved as
submitted.
Agenda #2a - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #484/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE,
seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously
approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto
and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #3 - Tex Pool Prime Investment Program
- MINUTE ORDER #485/02: County Treasurer, Charles
Jones, appeared before the Court to discuss Bell County's participation in
Texas Pool Prime Investment Program and after due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN,
seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously
authorized JUDGE BURROWS to execute such agreement for Bell
County's participation in such Program. All according to a copy of
the same attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - SBI State of Work for Kronos Series
TimeKeeper
- MINUTE ORDER #486/02: The County Auditor, Donna
Eakin, appeared before the Court to discuss Bell County approval of
consulting agreement/statement of work with SBI for JD Edwards Labor
Collection Interface with Kronos series TimeKeeper, and after due
discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE,
seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the Court unanimously
approved such agreement, all according to a copy of the same attached
hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #5 - Criminal Justice Grant Application
- MINUTE ORDER #487/02: Sheriff Dan Smith
appeared before the Court to discuss the continuation of the Central Texas
Narcotics Task Force Criminal Justice grant application for $651,395.00
and providing $263,646.00 in matching funds to be made up from other
participating entities. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the
Court unanimously approved authorizing the County Judge to execute such
grant application on behalf of Bell County.
Agenda #6 - Requests for Proposals for Voice Over
IP and Data Network
- MINUTE ORDER #488/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the Court
unanimously approved authorizing the County Auditor to advertise for
requests for proposals for Voice Over IP and Data Network.
Agenda #7 - Fire Marshal's Bond
- MINUTE ORDER #489/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER STEPHENSON, the Court
unanimously approved the official bond for Steve Casey, Bell County Fire
Marshal.
Agenda #8 - Perryman's Group Payment
- MINUTE ORDER #490/02: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved
the payment to Perryman's Group, Consultant, for population projections to
support water matters in the amount of $9,437.00.
Agenda #9 - Employee Recognition
- MINUTE ORDER #491/02: JUDGE BURROWS recognized
the following County Employees who enabled Bell County to implement new
GASB 34 Chart of Accounts on December 9, 2002, to-wit: Donna Eakin,
Tina Entrop, Russell Williams, Denise Fiebig, Christine Malhosky, Janey
Heath, Ronda Montgomery, Natalie Ortiz, Connie Priddy, Kay Sladovnik, Ron
Heuss, Laura Hardcastle, Ned Roehrig, Nancy Polmanter, Sam Henderson,
Rodney Hess, Richard Macchi, Mary Henderson, Charles Jones, Lucinda
Jaeger, Maria Murphree, Melissa Vrabel, Virginia Suarez, and Elizabeth
Urubek.
Agenda #10 - John Stephenson's Resolution
- MINUTE ORDER #492/02: JUDGE BURROWS
presented a resolution honoring outgoing Precinct #4 Commissioner John
Stephenson and declared December 23, 2002, as John Stephenson Day in Bell
County. All according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made
a part of these minutes.
Agenda #11 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #493/02: The County Auditor presented
all claims for the review of the Court. After proper review, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a copy of the
same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session
to discuss
those items on the workshop agenda with
no
action being taken on any matter.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
