Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #016/03: It being nine a.m., JUDGE BURROWS
called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the
fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of January
6, 2003. He asked if there were any corrections or additions, the minutes were approved as
amended.
Agenda #2a - Exception to Subdivision Regulations
- MINUTE ORDER #017/03: The County Engineer presented
the matter of granting an exception to platting requirements for an 0.39
acre parcel in the E. Brewer Survey, abstract #61, off of West Amity Road,
in accordance with section A-10, appendix A, of the Bell County
Subdivision Regulations. Thereafter, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN,
seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously
approved such exception, all according to a copy of said plat attached
hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #2b - Plat Amendment for Hidden Springs
Subdivision, Section I
- MINUTE ORDER #018/03: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN,
seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously
approved the final plat amendment of Lots 1 and 157, Hidden Springs,
Section 1 Subdivision and ordered the same file for record.
Agenda #2c - Awarding bids on Fencing on Crows
Ranch and Eagles Nest Roads
- MINUTE ORDER #019/03: The County Engineer presented
the matter of bids for fencing on the Crows Ranch and Eagle Nest Roads
with respect to the company that the bid had previously been awarded to
and the fact that they did not have Workmen's Comp Insurance and had
withdrawn their bid. It was the County Engineer's recommendation
that the next qualified low bidder was Fences by Farr. After due
discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN,
seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously
approved awarding such fencing contract to Fences by Farr in the amount of
$89,187.50 with the funds coming from Precinct #2 and #4 Maintenance
Funds.
Agenda #3 - Bids for Fencing for Strasburger Road
- MINUTE ORDER #020/03: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER,
seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court unanimously
approved advertising for bids on right of way fencing for Leroy Meyer on
the Strasburger Road. Such payment to be from the Precinct #3
Maintenance Funds.

- MINUTE ORDER #021/03: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER,
seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court unanimously
approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto
and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Contract for Fire Investigation
Services
- MINUTE ORDER #022/03: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved authorizing the County Judge to contract for services
for fire investigations while the Fire Marshal is in training.
Agenda #5 - Appointment to Board of Hill Country
Community Action Association
- MINUTE ORDER #023/03: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved appointing COMMISSIONER JOHN FISHER as
Bell County Alternate on the Board of Hill Country Community Action
Association to replace former Commissioner John Stephenson.
Agenda #6 - Request for Proposals/Bids for Jail
Inmate Pharmacy Benefit Management Services
- MINUTE ORDER #024/03: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court
unanimously approved authorizing the County Auditor to go out for requests
for proposals/bids for jail inmate pharmacy benefit management services to
manage and adjudicate pharmacy claims.
Agenda #7 - Awarding Bids on Vehicle Purchases
- MINUTE ORDER #025/03: Assistant County Auditor,
Russell Williams presented the matter of the report on the re-bidding for
patrol cars due to an error made previously by the low bidder John
McClaren Chevrolet, such report being attached hereto. After due
discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER
BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved awarding such contract to the low-bidder Dodge
Country in the amount of $15,990.00 per vehicle in the aggregate amount of
$95,940.00 for six vehicles.
Agenda #8 - Award Bids on Computer
- MINUTE ORDER #026/03: Ned Roehrig, Director of the
County's IS Department presented the report of the bids for County
computers, the same being attached hereto. After due discussion,
upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, the Court
unanimously approved awarding such contract to Caliber Computer
Corporation, of Fremont, California in the amount of $579.00 per
unit.
Agenda #9 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #027/03: The County Auditor presented
all claims for the review of the Court. Upon
motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a copy of the
same on record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session
to discuss
those items on the workshop agenda with
no
action being taken on the same.)
There being no further business, the meeting
was adjourned.
