AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on
this the 17th day of March, A.D. 2003, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas,
met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular special session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #101/03: It being nine a.m., JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the
fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of March
10, 2003. He asked if there were any corrections or
additions. COMMISSIONER BROWN moved to amend such
minutes by adding to MO #97/03 "and amending the budget
for such project." The motion was seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE and passed unanimously.
Agenda #2a - Public Hearing to Consider
Installation of Traffic Control Devices
- MINUTE ORDER #102/03: JUDGE BURROWS opened
a public hearing to consider the installation of the following traffic
control devices, to-wit: 1) Install a YIELD sign on Sulphur Wells at
Armstrong Road; 2) Install a 30 MPH speed limit on Fox Trail, Sherwood
Shores Subdivision; 3) Install 55 mph speed limit on Chaparral Road, from
Trimmier to Featherline. He asked if there were any public comments;
there being none, such public hearing was closed and after due discussion,
upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN,
seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court unanimously
approved the installation of the above traffic control devices.
Agenda #2b - McLean's Crossing, Phase IV Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #103/03: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER,
seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously
approved the final plat of McLean's Crossing, Phase IV Subdivision and
ordered the same filed for record.
Agenda #2c - Lucus Addition Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #104/03: The matter of Lucus Addition
Subdivision was tabled pending further study.
Agenda #2d - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #105/03: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE,
seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously
approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto
and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #3 - County Treasurer's Year 2002 End of the
Year Report
- MINUTE ORDER #106/03: County Treasurer,
Charles Jones gave his end of the year 2002 interest and investment
report. After such report, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
FISHER, the
Court unanimously approved such report and ordered the same filed for
record.
Agenda #4 - County Treasurer's 2003 First Quarter
Investment Report
- MINUTE ORDER #107/03: County Treasurer, Charles
Jones gave Bell County's 2003 First Quarter Investment Report. After
such report, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved such report and ordered the same filed for record.
Agenda #5 - National Agriculture Week
- MINUTE ORDER #108/03: JUDGE BURROWS presented
a resolution recognizing National Agriculture Week. After due
discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by
COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously approved such
resolution. All according to a copy of the same attached hereto and
made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #7 - By-Laws of Texas CUC Aggregation Project,
Inc.
- MINUTE ORDER #109/03: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court
unanimously approved the by-laws of the Texas CUC Aggregation Project; all
according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these
minutes.
Agenda #8 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #110/03: The County Auditor presented
all claims for the review of the Court. Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a copy of the
same on record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court went into
Executive session
to discuss the purchase of Real Estate with no action being
taken.)
(The Court then went into workshop session
to discuss
those items on the workshop agenda with
no
action being taken on the same.)
There being no further business, the meeting
was adjourned.
