AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 12th day of May, A.D. 2003, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular special session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #200/03:  It being nine a.m., JUDGE BURROWS called the meeting to order and waived presentation of the minutes of May 5, 2003, at the present time.     



  2. Agenda #2 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #201/03:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, with JUDGE BURROWS voting "YES," the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms; the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.  



  3. Agenda #3 - Awarding bids on Maintenance Department Forklift

    • MINUTE ORDER #202/03:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, with JUDGE BURROWS voting "YES," the Court unanimously approved awarding the bid for the maintenance department forklift to the low bidder Equipment Depot in the amount of $16,607.98. 



  4. Agenda #4 - Installation of Fiber

    • MINUTE ORDER #203/03:   Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, with JUDGE BURROWS voting YES, the Court unanimously approved awarding the bid for the installation of fiber to the following locations:  Blackland Research Center; VA Hospital to MRB; TPD to Lanier Center, to the low bidder GXT in the amount of $104,703.42.  



  5. Agenda #5 - Horticulture Curriculum

    • MINUTE ORDER #204/03:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, seconded by JUDGE BURROWS, with COMMISSIONER CORTESE abstaining, the Court approved ratification of the agreement between BellNET and Temple College for Horticulture Curriculum in the amount of $30,000.00. 
          


  6. Agenda #6 - Criminal Justice Grant for the District Attorney's Office

    • MINUTE ORDER #205/03:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, with JUDGE BURROWS voting YES, the Court unanimously approved the updated resolution regarding the Criminal Justice Grant for the District Attorney's Victim Assistance Office, correcting the resolution dated December 2, 2002.  The same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.    
          


  7. Agenda #7 - Criminal Justice Grant for the Juvenile Probation Department

    • MINUTE ORDER #206/03:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, with JUDGE BURROWS voting YES, the Court unanimously approved updated resolution regarding Criminal Justice Grant for Juvenile Probation Department Victims of Juvenile Crime Office, correcting the earlier resolution.  
          


  8. Agenda #8 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #207/03:  The County Auditor presented all claims for the review of the Court.  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, with JUDGE BURROWS voting YES, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same on record in the office of the County Auditor.  



             (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with 
              no action being taken on the same.)    



              There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
