JULY 14, 2003


AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 14th day of July, A.D. 2003, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #276/03:  It being nine a.m., JUDGE BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of June 30, July 1 & July 7, 2003.  He asked if there were any corrections or additions, there being no corrections, the minutes were approved as submitted.       



  2. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #277/03:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.  



  3. Agenda #4 - Order Calling Certificates of Obligation Election

    • MINUTE ORDER #278/03:  JUDGE BURROWS presented a written Order Calling an Election regarding Issuance of Certificates of Obligation and after presentation of the same, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved the same.  All according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these minutes for all purposes.      



  4. Agenda #5 - Reimbursement Resolution

    • MINUTE ORDER #279/03:  JUDGE BURROWS presented the matter of the resolution with regard to the reimbursement of certain expenses to be paid from Tax Exempt Obligations.  After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court unanimously approved such Reimbursement Resolution.  All according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.    



  5. Agenda #6 - Interlocal Agreement concerning Indoor Recreation Center for Harker Heights

    • MINUTE ORDER #280/03:  The matter of consideration of an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Harker Heights to cooperate in the development of an Indoor Recreation Center for the City of Harker Heights was presented and after due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court unanimously approved such Interlocal Agreement.  All according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.       



  6. Agenda #7 - Certificate of Substantial Completion of Potts Building

    • MINUTE ORDER #281/03:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously approved a Certificate of Substantial Completion for the Potts Building Renovation.  



  7. Agenda #8 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #282/03:  The County Auditor presented all claims for the review of the Court.  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same on record in the office of the County Auditor.  



             (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with 
              no action being taken on the same.)    



              There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
