met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #032/04: It being nine a.m. JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts
attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes
of January 26, 2004. He asked if there were
any corrections or additions to the minutes; there being none, the minutes
were approved as submitted.
Agenda #2a - Bids for Purchase of Two Dump Trucks
- MINUTE ORDER #033/04: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court
unanimously approved authorizing the County Engineer to advertise for bids
for two 12-cubic yard dump trucks for the Road and Bridge Department.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #034/04: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - New Director of Planning for CTCOG
- MINUTE ORDER #035/04: Mr. Jim Reid, Director of the
Central Texas Council of Governments appeared before the Court to
introduce the new Director of Planning and Regional Services for CTCOG,
Ms. Shannon Mattingly.
Agenda #5 - Funding under Home Land Security Grants
- MINUTE ORDER #036/04: Dr. Bill Dugas of BellNET
appeared before the court to make a presentation concerning Rural Access
Initiative: Rural Police and Fire Departments and their request for
funding under Home Land Security grants and after such presentation, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved authorizing such grant request to the Central Texas
Council of Governments.
Agenda #6 - Amending the Bell County Communications
Center Budget
- MINUTE ORDER #037/04: The County Auditor presented
the matter of the amendment to the Bell County Communications Center
Budget and after due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court
unanimously approved amending the Communication Center's Budget in the
amount of $60,000.00 to replace the Radio Recording System by line-item
amendments and use of the Center's fund balance. All according to a
copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #7 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #038/04: The County Auditor presented
all claims for the review of the Court. After proper review, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the
County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
