Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #085/04: It being nine a.m. JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts
attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes
of March 8, 2004. He asked if there were
any corrections or additions, there being no corrections, the minutes were
approved as submitted.
Agenda #2a - Mill Creek Springs, Phase IV Subdivision
Plat
- MINUTE ORDER #086/04: The County Engineer presented
the matter of approval of the Mill Creek Springs, Phase IV Subdivision
Plat and recommended its approval. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court
unanimously approved such subdivision plat and ordered the same filed for
record.
Agenda #2b - Amended Replat of Lots 8 & 9, Block
#1 of Woods of Owl Creek Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #087/04: The County Engineer presented
the matter of approval of the amended replat of lots 8 & 9, Block #1
of the Woods of Owl Creek Subdivision Plat. After
due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER
BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved such amended replat and ordered the same filed for
record.
Agenda #2c - Releasing Letter of Credit #1300
- MINUTE ORDER #088/04: The County Engineer presented
the matter of releasing the letter of credit #1300, Extraco Bank, in the
amount of $4,835.00, for maintenance of roads in Diana Addition. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN , seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the
Court unanimously approved releasing the letter of credit #1300 for
Extraco Bank, since the letter of credit will expire on March 24, 2004,
and the Engineers Office has checked the roads and drainage in the
development, and all are in good order at this time.
Agenda #2e - Preliminary Approval of Shiloh Terrace,
Phase II Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #089/04: The County Engineer presented
the matter of approval of the Preliminary Plat of Shiloh Terrace, Phase II
Subdivision and recommended its approval. After due
discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved such preliminary plat.
Agenda #2d - Awarding Bids on Dump Trucks
- MINUTE ORDER #090/04: The County Engineer presented
the bids for two 13-16 C.Y. dump trucks (such bid report being attached
hereto) and recommended awarding the same to Longhorn International in the
total amount of $141,264.00, the same being the lowest qualified
bid. After due
discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved awarding such bid to Longhorn International in the
total sum of $141,264.00.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #091/04: Ms. Sharon Long presented her
request for a budget amendment for over-time to keep the Tax Assessor's
Office Open in Killeen on two Saturdays to take care of the military
personnel coming back from Iraq to register their vehicles. JUDGE
BURROWS presented all other personnel matters. After due
discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved amending the Tax Assessor's Over-time budget in an
amount to take care of 2 days operation of her office and approved all
other employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto.
Agenda #4 - Architectural Services Contract
- MINUTE ORDER #092/04: Mr. Russell Williams,
Assistant County Auditor, presented his analysis of the RFQ's for
Architectural Services for work in the Tax-Assessor Collector's Expansion;
County and District Clerks' document storage building and expansion of the
Communication Center. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN,
seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved awarding such contract to Lewis Design Group and
authorized negotiations with such company.
(The Court then went into workshop
session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with
no action being taken on
the same.)
There being no further business, the meeting
was adjourned.
