met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #107/04: It being nine a.m. JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts
attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes
of March 29, 2004 as amended. He asked if there were
any corrections or additions, the minutes
were approved as amended.
Agenda #2a - 2004 Level-Up Program for Road and
Bridge Department
- MINUTE ORDER #108/04: The County Engineer presented
the seal coat and level-up program for 2004 for the Road and Bridge
Department. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved such program, the same being attached hereto and made
a part of these minutes.
Agenda #2b - Authority to bid for Hot Mix Overlay
for Road and Bridge Department
- MINUTE ORDER #109/04: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously authorized the County Engineer to advertise for bids for
approximately 3250 tons of hot mix overlay for various County Roads.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #110/04: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Resolution Concerning James Russell,
Assistant District Attorney
- MINUTE ORDER #111/04: JUDGE BURROWS presented
a Resolution recognizing James T. Russell Assistant District Attorney and
Administrative Assistant to the District Attorney, upon his retirement
following over 30 years of service to Bell County and moved its approval;
such motion was seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court
unanimously approved such resolution, the same being attached hereto and
made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #5 - Proclamation Concerning Fair Housing
Month in Bell County
- MINUTE ORDER #112/04: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved a proclamation declaring April as Fair Housing Month
in Bell County, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these
minutes.
Agenda #6 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #113/04: The County Auditor presented
all claims for the review of the Court. Upon
motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same on record in the office of the
County Auditor.
(The Court then went into Executive Session to discuss personnel matter
and thereafter, went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being taken on the same.)
There being no further business, the meeting
was adjourned.
