AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 17th day of May, A.D. 2004, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #148/04:  It being nine a.m. JUDGE BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of May 10, 2004.  He asked if there were any corrections or additions to the minutes; there being none, the minutes were approved.             



  2. Agenda #2 - Introduction of Rotary Group Study Exchange from India

    • MINUTE ORDER #149/04:  Representatives from the Killeen Rotary Group Study Exchange Team appeared before the Court to introduce their guests from India K. Madhu Prasad, Team Leader; Kiran Prasad Rajanhally, and Meena Leela Mallesh.  Guests were welcomed and gifts were exchanged. 



  3. Agenda #3a - Abandonment of Easements in Tanglewood Subdivision

    • MINUTE ORDER #150/04:  The matter of the abandonment of the utility and drainage easements common to Lots 330, 331, and 332 in the Tanglewood Subdivision were discussed and after due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved such abandonment.   



  4. Agenda #3b - Interlocal Agreement with Williamson County

    • MINUTE ORDER #151/04:  The Court discussed the matter of entering into an interlocal agreement with Williamson County for the use of their CMI RS 425B Road Recycler.  After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court unanimously approved authorizing the County Judge to execute such Interlocal Agreement on behalf of Bell County.    



  5. Agenda #4 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #152/04:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes. 



  6. Agenda #5 - Authority to Advertise for Health Insurance

    • MINUTE ORDER #153/04:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously approved authorizing the County Auditor to advertise for bids for employee health insurance for the coming year.  



  7. Agenda #6 - Report of County Auction

    • MINUTE ORDER #154/04:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court unanimously approved the results of County Auction Sales held on April 24, 2004, and unanimously ratified and approved such sales.  



  8. Agenda #7 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #155/04:  The County Auditor presented all claims for the review of the Court.  After proper review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor. 


      (The Court then went into executive session to discuss personnel matter and thereafter went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)



              There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
