AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 2nd day of August, A.D. 2004, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #245/04:  It being nine a.m. JUDGE BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of July 26, 2004.  He asked if there were any corrections or additions to the minutes, there being none, the minutes were approved as submitted.              



  2. Agenda #2a - Contract for Striping

    • MINUTE ORDER #246/04:  The County Engineer presented the matter of extending the contract for striping of County Roads for an additional one year period in accordance with the original contract and specifications.  After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously approved the extending of such contract for a one year period with DIJ Construction of Bastrop with a cost adjustment from 10.3 to 10.5 per foot.   




  3. Agenda #2b - Sam Neil Lane, Phase II Subdivision

    • MINUTE ORDER #247/04:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court unanimously approved the final plat for the Sam Neil Lane, Phase II Subdivision and ordered the same filed for record. 



  4. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #248/04:  (No personnel was presented for action of the Court.) 



  5. Agenda #4 - Audit Report of the Central Texas Narcotics Task Force

    • MINUTE ORDER #249/04:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court unanimously approved the audit report, that is required by law, of the criminal asset forfeitures of the Central Texas Narcotics Task Force.  All according to a copy of the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.   



  6. Agenda #5 - Board Members of the MH/MR Center

    • MINUTE ORDER #250/04:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court unanimously approved the appointment of the following individuals to the Board of Trustees of the Central Counties MH/MR Center, to-wit: Mr. Neil White and Dr. Louella Tate, each for a two year term beginning September 1, 2004. 



  7. Agenda #6 - Integrated Justice System Project (CIJS), Phase III

    • MINUTE ORDER #251/04:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved the continued participation in the Conference of Urban Counties Common Integrated Justice System Project (CIJS), Phase III, and approved a budget amendment in the amount of $19,798.00, to continue participation.



  8. Agenda #7 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #252/04:  The County Auditor presented all claims for the review of the Court.  After proper review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor. 


      (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.) 



              There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
