AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on
this the 9th day of August, A.D. 2004, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas,
met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #253/04: It being nine a.m. JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts
attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes
of August 2, 2004. He asked if there were
any corrections or additions to the minutes; there being none, the minutes
were approved as amended.
Agenda #2a - Public Hearing on Traffic Control
Devices
- MINUTE ORDER #254/04: JUDGE BURROWS opened
a public hearing on the installation of the following traffic control
devices, to-wit: 1) Install stop signs at the intersection of Tem-Bel
Lane and the BN & SF Railroad; 2) Install yield sign on East
Creekview at Mission Trail; 3) Install yield sign on West Creekview
at Mission Trail; 4) Install yield sign on Cheyenne Pass at Mission
Trail; 5) Install yield sign on Crystal Spring Court at Mission
Trail; and 6) Install stop sign on Little Mexico Road at Airport
Trail. JUDGE BURROWS asked if there were any public
comments; there being none, upon motion of COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved all such traffic control devices and authorized the
County Engineer to have the same installed.
Agenda #2b - Interlocal Agreement with City of
Harker Heights with respect to Subdivisions
- MINUTE ORDER #255/04: The County Engineer presented
the matter of an Interlocal Agreement with the City of Harker Heights
regarding the review of Subdivision Plats in the E.T.J. of the City of
Harker Heights. Upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, the Court
unanimously approved such agreement, all according to a copy of the same
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #2c - Interlocal Agreement with State Highway
Department for SH #95
- MINUTE ORDER #256/04: The County Engineer presented
the matter of an Interlocal Agreement with the Texas Department of Public
Transportation regarding Right of Way and Utility relocations for the SH
#95 at Little River Project (CSJ 0320-2-29) in the amount of
$10,000.00. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER
SCHILLER, the Court
unanimously approved authorizing the County Judge to execute an Interlocal
Agreement with the State authorizing such action, such Agreement being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #257/04: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court
unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Request for RFP's for Pharmacy Services
for Jail and Indigent Health Care
- MINUTE ORDER #258/04: Ms. Rita Kelley of the H.E.L.P.
Center in Killeen, appeared before the Court requesting authority for the
County Auditor to advertise for RFP's for Bell County Correctional
Facilities Pharmacy Services and Pharmacy Benefit Management Services for
County Indigent Health Care Program and other Indigent Pharmacy
Services. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court
unanimously authorized the County Auditor to advertise for such
RFP's.
Agenda #5 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #259/04: The County Auditor presented
all claims for the review of the Court. After proper review, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the
County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on
the workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
