- MINUTE ORDER #340/04: It being nine a.m. JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and waived the presentation
of the minutes of September 27, 2004, at the present time.
Agenda #5 - 4-H Ambassadors Presentation
- MINUTE ORDER #341/04: The Bell County 4-H
Ambassadors, Brittany Tucker; Josh Burtchell; Elizabeth White; Mary
Mobley; and Rebecca Bulls made a presentation celebrating National 4-H
week.
Agenda #2a - Shiloh Terrace, Phase II Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #342/04: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved the final plat of Shiloh Terrace, Phase II
Subdivision, and ordered the same filed for record.
Agenda #2b - Authorized bidding for road equipment
- MINUTE ORDER #343/04: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved authorizing the County Engineer to advertise for bids
for three motor graders and one, one-ton service truck for the sign
crew.
Agenda #2c - Encasement of a Koch Industries
Pipeline
- MINUTE ORDER #344/04: The matter of authorizing the
payment of up to $36,000 from Precinct 3 funds for the encasement of a
Koch Industries pipeline on the Stallion Road improvement project was
tabled pending further study.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #345/04: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Burn Ban
- MINUTE ORDER #346/04: Mr. Hal R. Pagel, President of
the Bell County Fire Chief's Association appeared before the Court to
request the lifting of the burn ban due to sufficient rainfall in the
County to do so. Upon motion of COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court
unanimously approved lifting the burn ban presently in effect in Bell
County.
Agenda #6 - County Judge & Commissioners
Committee on People with Disabilities
- MINUTE ORDER #347/04: The matter of considering an
update report from the County Judge & Commissioners Committee on
People with Disabilities was withdrawn.
Agenda #7 - Contract with Central Texas Junior
Hockey, LLC
- MINUTE ORDER #348/04: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court
ratified the contract between the EXPO Center Facility and the Central
Texas Junior Hockey, LLC. A copy of the same being attached hereto
and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #8 - MOU Between Bell County and Lone Star
Legal Aid
- MINUTE ORDER #349/04: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court
unanimously approved the Memorandum of Understanding between Bell County
and Lone Star Legal Aid continuing agreement for Lone Star Legal Aid to
provide Juvenile Court Magistrate services as called upon by the Juvenile
Court.
Agenda #9 - Family Outreach Budget and Agreement for
Services
- MINUTE ORDER #350/04: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
approved the budget from Family Outreach of Bell County and their
agreement on services to be provided. All according to a copy of the
same attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #10 - Texas County & District Retirement
System
- MINUTE ORDER #351/04: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER SCHILLER, the Court
unanimously approved an Order amending a current variable-rate plan ADCR
(Subchapter H, Chapter 844) for 2005 for Texas County & District
Retirement System. All according to a copy of the same attached
hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #11 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #352/04: The County Auditor presented
all claims for the review of the Court. Upon
motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same on record in the office of the
County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on
the workshop agenda with no action being taken on the same.)
There being no further business, the meeting
was adjourned.
