Agenda #1 - Representative DeLisi's Meeting
With the Court
- MINUTE ORDER #05/05: JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and explained that the
purpose of the meeting with Representative DeLisi was to allow her to know
the concerns the Court had with the upcoming Legislative Session.
The Court discussed with her their concerns about education funding and
its effect on Counties Tax Revenues; the problem of funding for the IH #35
projects needed in Bell County and the taxing level purposed by Governor
Perry to limit taxing units and what effect it would have on County
Government with the unfunded legislation placed on Counties.
Representative DeLisi shared with the Court her concerns of the needed
revenue to maintain State levels of funding for needed projects.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
