Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #06/05: It being nine a.m., JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts
attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes
of January 3, 2005. He asked if there were any corrections or
additions to the minutes; there
being no corrections, the minutes were approved as submitted.
Agenda #2a - Final Plat for Ivy Trails Estates,
Phase II
- MINUTE ORDER #07/05: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court
unanimously approved the final plat for Ivy Trails Estates, Phase II, and
ordered the same filed for record.
Agenda #2b - Rogers City Park
- MINUTE ORDER #08/05: The County Engineer presented
the matter of a grant application for a community park in the City of
Rogers. He explained that the Court had previously agreed to provide
the labor and equipment to prime and seal coat the entrance road and
parking area. This cost would amount to approximately
$7,000.00. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved authorizing the County Judge to send a letter of
support for the City of Rogers in their request for a Grant Application
for a Community Park.
Agenda #2c - Authority to bid for fencing
- MINUTE ORDER #09/05: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved authorizing the County Engineer to advertise for bids
for 8,700 feet of right-of-way fencing on Landfill Road, Precinct
#2.
Agenda #2d - Final Plat of Georgia Creek
Subdivision
- MINUTE ORDER #10/05: Upon the recommendation of the
County Engineer, on motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER
FISHER, the Court
unanimously approved the final plat of Georgia Creek Subdivision and
ordered the same filed for record.
Agenda #2e - Authority to take Bids for Road and
Bridge Department
- MINUTE ORDER #11/05: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court
unanimously approved advertising for bids for the annual contracts for
liquid asphalt, cold mix, hot mix, aggregate, pit-run gravel, lime and
cement.

- MINUTE ORDER #12/05: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these
minutes.

- MINUTE ORDER #13/05: In accordance with Section
152.015 of the Texas Local Government Code, the following names were drawn
from the 2004 Grand Jury members to serve as the County 2005 Grievance

Agenda #5 - Grant Submission for Victims of
Crimes Act
- MINUTE ORDER #14/05: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court
unanimously approved a grant submission for Victims of Crimes Act for the
Bell County Juvenile Probation Department, the same being attached hereto
and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #6 - Project Safe Neighborhoods Grant
- MINUTE ORDER #15/05: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved the grant submission and acceptance for Project Safe
Neighborhoods for the Bell County Juvenile Probation Department. All
according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these
minutes.
Agenda #7 - Bell County Representative on
Reinvestment Zone #1 Board of Director
- MINUTE ORDER #16/05: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved the appointment of COMMISSIONER EDDY LANGE as
Bell County's Representative to the City of Temple's Reinvestment Zone
Number One Board of Directors to fill the vacancy created by the
resignation of Commissioner Schiller.
Agenda #8 - Representative to Bell County Child
Welfare Board
- MINUTE ORDER #17/05: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved the appointment of COMMISSIONER EDDY LANGE as
Bell County's Representative to the Bell County Child Welfare Board to
fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Commissioner Schiller.
Agenda #9 - Testing Laboratory Services for New
Court Building
- MINUTE ORDER #18/05: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved the firm of Kleinfelder to provide testing laboratory
services for the new Courts building.
Agenda #10 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #19/05: The County Auditor presented
all claims for the review of the Court. After proper review, upon
motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims. All
according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the
County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the
workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
