AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on this the 18th day of April, 2005, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas, met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the following members of said Court present, to-wit:

  1. Agenda #1 - Minutes

    • MINUTE ORDER #150/05:  It being nine a.m., JUDGE BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes of April 11, 2005.  He asked if there were any corrections or additions to the minutes; there being no corrections, the minutes were approved as submitted.   



  2. Agenda #2 - County Engineer

    • MINUTE ORDER #151/05:  There were no items of business for the County Engineer's Office.   



  3. Agenda #3 - Personnel

    • MINUTE ORDER #152/05:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.  



  4. Agenda #4 - Resolution with Respect to National Volunteer Week

    • MINUTE ORDER #153/05:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved designating the week of April 18-22 as National Volunteer Week in Bell County, Texas and the recognition of 18 Bell County Citizens for their selection in the Cooperative Extension Service Hall of Fame, and acknowledging the value of volunteer services in Bell County as being over $800,000.00 in the past year.      



  5. Agenda #5 - Bylaws of the Texas Association of Counties Unemployment Compensation

    • MINUTE ORDER #154/05:  JUDGE BURROWS presented the matter of the changes to the Bylaws of the Texas Association of Counties Unemployment Compensation Group Account Fund.  Thereafter, upon motion of COMMISSIONER CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER LANGE,  the Court unanimously approved such changes.  All according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.  



  6. Agenda #6 - Participation Agreement with Texas Association of Counties

    • MINUTE ORDER #155/05:  Upon motion of COMMISSIONER FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved the updating of the Participation Agreement for Texas Association of Counties Unemployment Compensations Group Account Fund.  All according to a copy of the same attached hereto and made a part of these minutes. 



  7. Agenda #7 - Claims

    • MINUTE ORDER #157/05:  The County Auditor presented all claims for the review of the Court.  After proper review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court unanimously approved all such claims.  All according to a copy of the same being of record in the office of the County Auditor. 



  8. Agenda #8 - Executive Session

    • MINUTE ORDER #158/05:  (The Court then went into executive session as authorized by Section 551.074 of the Texas Government Code regarding Personnel matters at 9:45 a.m. and at 10 a.m. such executive session was adjourned.) 


      (The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on the workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)


              There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
