AFTER proper posting of public notice, a copy of which is attached hereto, on
this the 9th day of May, 2005, the County Commissioners Court of Bell County, Texas,
met in the Commissioners' Courtroom in Belton, Texas, in regular session with the

Agenda #1 - Minutes
- MINUTE ORDER #177/05: It being nine a.m., JUDGE
BURROWS called the meeting to order and called to the Courts
attention the fact that they had previously received copies of the minutes
of May 2, 2005. He asked if there were
any corrections or additions to the minutes; there being no corrections, the minutes were
approved as submitted.
Agenda #2a - Annual Precinct Work Plan
- MINUTE ORDER #178/05: The County Engineer presented
the matter of the annual work plan for the Road and Bridge Department and
recommended its approval. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded
by COMMISSIONER LANGE, the Court unanimously approved such
annual work plan. All according to a copy of the same attached
hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #2b - Hazardous Waste Collection Days
- MINUTE ORDER #179/05: The County Engineer presented
the matter of the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Days sponsored by
the Central Texas Council of Governments. All according to a flyer
announcing the same attached hereto.
Agenda #2c - Discretionary Service Agreement with TXU
on Landfill Road
- MINUTE ORDER #180/05: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously the County Judge to execute a Discretionary Service Agreement
in the amount of $19,706.00 with TXU Electric Delivery Company for the
relocation of electrical facilities on the Landfill Road Project in
Precinct #1.
Agenda #3 - Personnel
- MINUTE ORDER #181/05: Upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER FISHER, the Court
unanimously approved all employee status report forms, the same being
attached hereto and made a part of these minutes.
Agenda #4 - Tribute to our Heroes Day
- MINUTE ORDER #182/05: JUDGE BURROWS read
a Proclamation for consideration by the Court setting May 13, 2005 as
Operation Iraqi Freedom II - Tribute to our Heroes Day.
After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
FISHER, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved such Proclamation, the same being attached hereto.
Agenda #5 - Appointment to Bell County Bailbond
Board
- MINUTE ORDER #183/05: JUDGE BURROWS reported
to the Court that he had received notification that Judge Ivey,
Justice of the Peace, Precinct #3, Place #2, had resigned from the Bell
County Bailbond Board. After due
discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER LANGE, seconded by COMMISSIONER
BROWN, the Court unanimously appointed Justice of the
Peace Don Engleking to fill such vacancy on the Bell County
Bailbond Board.
Agenda #6 - Sub-Depository Contract with First
National Bank of Holland
- MINUTE ORDER #184/05: County Treasurer Charles Jones
presented the matter of approval of a Sub-Depository Contract between
First National Bank of Holland and Bell County for the period of January 4
through June 20, 2005. After due discussion, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
CORTESE, seconded by COMMISSIONER BROWN, the Court
unanimously approved such Contract. A copy of the same being
attached hereto.
Agenda #7 - Claims
- MINUTE ORDER #185/05: The County Auditor presented
all claims for the review of the Court. After proper review, upon motion of COMMISSIONER
BROWN, seconded by COMMISSIONER CORTESE, the Court
unanimously approved all such claims. All according to a copy of the
same being of record in the office of the County Auditor.
(The Court then went into workshop session to discuss those items on
the workshop agenda with no action being taken on any item.)
There being no further business, the meeting
adjourned.
